Meanwhile, Hasan Ali had a funny moment on the field. The Pakistan pacer went out to offer drinks to his fellow teammates in between overs. While returning back to the dugout, he almost lost his cap but somehow managed to hold onto it with his right hand. There was jubilation on his face which was recorded by the cameraman. It was a funny sprint in other words and the way he ran made it even funnier.

Meanwhile, multiple rain interruptions and wet outfields meant that the Sri Lankan batsmen were on and off the field. They had to start from scratch and concentrate and focus all over again. Sadeera’s dismissal was off the very last over of the day due to a lapse of concentration. The umpires called stumps after Sadeera lost his wicket.
Play will start 15 minutes earlier on day 2 as both teams will try to make up for the lost overs on day 1. The Test series is a part of the WTC 2023-25 cycle for both teams.
Sri Lanka and Pakistan have a rich history in Test cricket. Both teams have played 57 Test matches between themselves with Pakistan winning 21 matches while Sri Lanka 17. However, beating the Lankans in their own backyard will be tough for the tourists. Both these teams played last time in 2022 with the Test series ending 1-1.
